Terms & Conditions - Transkriptor
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Google Drive Integration service provided by Textintel FZE through Transkriptor. By using this integration service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Google Drive Integration Service
1.1 Service Description
Transkriptor's Google Drive Integration provides the following services:
- Secure access to your Google Drive account (with your explicit permission)
- Display of your Google Drive files for selection
- Download of selected audio/video files for transcription processing
- Automatic transcription of downloaded media files
- Upload of transcription results back to your Google Drive account
- Management and organization of transcription files within Google Drive
1.2 Service Availability
- The integration service is provided on an "as available" basis
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to Google Drive or Google's services
- Service availability may be affected by Google API limitations or maintenance
2. Authorization and Access
2.1 Google Account Authorization
To use this service, you must:
- Have a valid Google account with Google Drive access
- Grant explicit permission for Transkriptor to access your Google Drive
- Maintain valid authentication throughout your session
- Comply with Google's Terms of Service
2.2 Scope of Access
Our integration will only:
- Access files you explicitly select for transcription
- Read metadata necessary for file display and processing
- Write transcription results back to your Google Drive
- Use Google's official APIs and authentication mechanisms
2.3 Access Limitations
We will NOT:
- Access files without your explicit selection
- Modify or delete your existing Google Drive files
- Share your Google Drive access with third parties
- Use your Google Drive for storage of non-transcription related data
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Google account credentials
- Monitoring access to your Google Drive integration
- Revoking access if you suspect unauthorized use
- Reporting any security concerns immediately
3.2 Content Responsibility
You warrant that:
- You have the right to transcribe the selected audio/video files
- Your files do not contain illegal, defamatory, or harmful content
- You have necessary permissions for any third-party content in your files
- You comply with applicable laws regarding the content you process
3.3 Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- Use the service only for legitimate transcription purposes
- Not attempt to circumvent security measures or API limitations
- Not use the service to process copyrighted material without permission
- Respect Google's usage policies and rate limits
4. Data Processing and Privacy
4.1 Data Handling
When you use the Google Drive integration:
- We temporarily download selected files for processing only
- Files are processed on secure servers and deleted within 1 hour
- Transcription results are uploaded directly to your Google Drive
- We maintain processing logs for security purposes (90 days retention)
4.2 Privacy Compliance
Our data processing complies with:
- Our Privacy Policy for Google Drive Integration
- Google's API Services User Data Policy
- Applicable data protection laws (GDPR, etc.)
- Industry security standards
4.3 Your Data Rights
You retain full control over:
- Which files to select for transcription
- Your transcription results stored in Google Drive
- The ability to revoke integration access at any time
- Deletion of transcription files from your Google Drive
5. Service Limitations and Restrictions
5.1 File Format Support
The integration supports common audio/video formats including:
- MP3, WAV, M4A (audio formats)
- MP4, MOV, AVI (video formats)
- Maximum file size: 2GB per file
- Maximum processing time: 4 hours per file
5.2 Usage Limits
- Subject to your Transkriptor account limits and subscription
- Google API rate limits may apply
- Large files may take longer to process
- Concurrent file processing may be limited
5.3 Service Restrictions
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse processing of files that violate our policies
- Implement reasonable usage limits
- Temporarily suspend service for maintenance
- Modify service features with reasonable notice
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Your Content
- You retain all rights to your original Google Drive files
- You retain ownership of transcription results
- We claim no ownership rights to your content
- Transcription results are derivative works based on your original content
6.2 Service Technology
- Our transcription technology and integration software remain our property
- You may not reverse engineer or attempt to replicate our service
- Our trademarks and brand elements remain our exclusive property
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
7.1 Service Provision
The Google Drive integration service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties including:
- Accuracy of transcription results
- Uninterrupted service availability
- Compatibility with all Google Drive configurations
- Error-free operation
7.2 Third-Party Services
We disclaim responsibility for:
- Google Drive service availability or performance
- Changes to Google's APIs or policies
- Third-party integration issues
- Google account access problems
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 Damages Limitation
Textintel FZE shall not be liable for:
- Data loss due to Google Drive service issues
- Transcription errors or inaccuracies
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Consequential or indirect damages
- Loss of business or revenue
8.2 Maximum Liability
Our total liability related to the Google Drive integration shall not exceed the amount paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Google API Compliance
9.1 Google Policies
By using this integration, you acknowledge:
- We comply with Google's API Terms of Service
- We adhere to Google's User Data Policy
- You must also comply with Google's policies when using our service
- Changes to Google's policies may affect service availability
9.2 Limited Use Compliance
Our use of Google APIs complies with Limited Use requirements:
- We only use your Google Drive data for transcription services
- We do not transfer data except as necessary for service provision
- We do not use your data for advertising purposes
10. Service Termination
10.1 User Termination
You may terminate use of the integration by:
- Revoking access through your Google Account settings
- Discontinuing use of the integration feature
- Contacting our support team
10.2 Our Termination Rights
We may terminate or suspend your access for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Abuse of the service or Google's APIs
- Non-payment of applicable fees
- Legal or regulatory requirements
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Google Drive access will be revoked
- Temporary processing data will be deleted
- Your transcription files in Google Drive remain under your control
- These Terms remain in effect for completed transactions
11. Updates and Changes
11.1 Service Updates
We may update the Google Drive integration to:
- Improve functionality and performance
- Comply with Google API changes
- Address security issues
- Add new features
11.2 Terms Updates
We may modify these Terms with:
- 30 days notice for material changes
- Immediate effect for legal compliance updates
- Notification through email or service interface

- Jurisdiction of Dubai courts if negotiation fails
- Arbitration if mutually agreed
14. Severability and Entire Agreement
14.1 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
14.2 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and main Terms of Service, constitute the complete agreement regarding the Google Drive integration service.
